Leave or Delete a Team Folder

Leave a Team Folder

Leaving a Team Folder is as easy as joining one. Since Team Folders are shared folders, all documents that you own will still be accessible to everyone in the team after you leave.

To leave a Team Folder:

1. Navigate to the left pane and click your Team Folder to open it on the right.
2. Click Manage next to the Team Folder name in the top and select Leave Team Folder from the dropdown.

3. Click YES, I'LL LEAVE to confirm.

If you are the only admin of the Team Folder, a dialog box will appear asking you to assign the admin role to another Team Folder member. A Team Folder must have at least one admin.

Delete a Team Folder

Once you've completed projects and met deadlines, you can delete Team Folders that take up your storage space. If there's a team or department that gets dissolved after the completion of a project, you can opt for deleting the Team Folders that belong to that particular group.

A Team Folder can only be deleted by its admins.

To delete a Team Folder:

1. Navigate to the left pane and click your Team Folder to open it on the right.
2. Click Manage next to the Team Folder name in the top and select Settings from the dropdown.

The Settings tab will open.

3. Click Delete in the bottom-right of the screen.

A confirmation message will appear.

4. Click Yes.

A Team Folder can only be restored from the Admin Console. Refer: Restore a Team Folder

Support for restoring Team Folders is only available in WorkDrive's Starter, Team and Business Editions. Check the details of all editions of WorkDrive.
